AAAAAAAAAAH, her cute little shrug because damn straight she is loved the most! But she is so happy about it and loves Leslie just as much as she is loved and I loved their lunch convo - note how it wasn’t about a male character? this is how you pass the bechdel test, folks! - because Ann knows what Leslie needs and exactly what to say and it was just a normal, everyday BFF lunch. So many shows have friendships where the little moments that shore up the strength of the friendship are offfscreen but in Parks and Recreation we get to see the tiny, everyday moments that aren’t as splashy as the grand gestures but mean just as much. Leslie and Ann’s friendship isn’t in offscreenville, it’s in every episode and I love that.
